Crochet Pattern – Reversible Oversized Top

When I first saw a similar top online, I instantly fell in love with it and knew I had to make one for myself.

I carefully selected the yarn - I wanted something fine, with a touch of lurex, and made of cotton. This project was not simple, so I began by creating a fabric mock-up to understand the shape. I then crocheted a swatch and made all the necessary calculations based on the pattern and the sample.

Once I started crocheting, I took detailed notes and photos throughout the process. After completing the first version of the top, I was happy with the result and decided to make a second one in a different color. In the second version, I refined the design by correcting all the small flaws I had noticed in the first.

That’s how this pattern was created.

This top features a loose, oversized fit and comes in one size only. It’s designed to be worn both ways - with the buttons in the front or in the back. The ties help adjust the neckline width for comfort and style.
